PAX terminal - Ethernet Integration

  1. Power terminal On

  2. On POS, Use latest version of Linkly - For existing install use upgrade, for new, use new install.

    1. Software Downloads - Linkly

  3. Once installed, Check POS Ethernet connection IP via Command prompt using “ipconfig” enter

  4. Ensure POS x Pinpad are plugged into the same live network , pinpad will show <--> Symbol in task bar to show Ethernet is plugged in.

  5. Linkly Client IP and POS incoming Ethernet IP Should match

  6. On Terminal payments/pos connect screen, select POS Connect

  7. Select function, function code, 11112227

  8. Select Change IP address q

  9. Enter IP address per Linkly Client

  10. Go back via arrow, Terminal should show “ Pos Connected “

  11. Perform log on from Linkly control Panel

Notes:

  • to ensure linkly client is showing the correct IP, use command prompt in windows, enter “ ipconfig” enter, here you will find the POS incoming IP.

  • Ensure Firewall is Off

  • If Firewall Cannot be turned off, ensure to set rules in and out for PORT 2012 - if you are unsure how to do this ask P+L or the field techs.

  • Ensure the PORT is not changed in Linkly client, have “ use default “ checked

  • If the Terminal is NOT on the same ETH Network as the POS - it will not pair/integrate.

  • Do not use Linkly Lite - If the POS has Lite or an older version, update and re run the wizard.
